The Organization for Public Health
Interventions and Development (OPHID) is a local trust which develops and
implements innovative approaches and strategies to strengthen Maternal, Newborn
and Child Health (MNCH) services in Zimbabwe, providing enhanced access for
communities to comprehensive HIV prevention and care. OPHID Trust works with
the Ministry of Health and Child Care in implementing these interventions.
RECEPTIONIST VACANCY
The Receptionist will be responsible for
manning the reception, receiving and directing visitors and calls in a
professional manner, providing information about OPHID to callers, receiving,
sorting and delivering mail. She/he will also be responsible for managing the
office stationery and booking local accommodation. The receptionist will be
responsible for ensuring the general upkeep of the office, ensuring cleanliness
and functioning of office utilities

Answer,
screen and direct telephone calls to the relevant departments in a professional
manner
ü
Make
calls for and relay messages to all members of staff timeously
ü
Receive
visitors, provide information to callers and deal with queries over the phone
and by the reception area
ü
Receive,
sort and deliver mail as well as send mail to various stakeholders
ü
Manage
office stationery through purchasing, recording and controlling usage
ü
Cleaning
the office and ensuring the functioning of office utilities such as water ,
electricity and office equipment
ü
Knowledge
of administrative and clerical procedures
ü
Knowledge
of switchboard; computers and relevant software applications
ü
Knowledge
of customer service principles and practices
ü
Good
written and verbal communication skills
ü
Diploma
in Secretarial Studies
ü
Ability
to communicate(read; write and speak) in IsiNdebele is a strong requirement
ü
A
minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position within a related
organisation.
